WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
BEFORE AND AFTER CARE INFORMATION
PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
It is advised not to make social plans for the first week following your permanent makeup appointment. The area will be darker and may have swelling, this will lighten and shrink after 10 days total.
You can wear your normal makeup on the day of the procedure for reference. Otherwise, a clean face is ideal. If you have any pictures you would like to bring to show your tech, please bring them.
Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment. Please inform your technician if you have drank any alcohol or taken aspirin, Ibuprofen, or Coumadin within 24 hours leading up to the procedure.
Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor. Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment.
For eyeliner only: if you wear contacts bring your glasses to the appointment. You cannot wear contacts or mascara for 72 hours following the appointment.
For lip procedures only: if you’ve ever had a cold sore you will want to begin medication 3 days before your appointment.
Eyebrow Procedures: Any waxing should be performed at least 48 hours before the procedure: Electrolysis no less than five days before the procedure. Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the procedure.
Eyeliner procedures: Any eyelash tinting or eyelash perming should be carried out no sooner than 1 week before or two weeks after the procedure. Eyelash growing serums must be continued for 130 days before the procedure and can be started again 2 weeks afterward. Do not wear contact lenses or mascara during or immediately following the procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses 72 hours after the procedure. Same thing with mascara. Lash extensions must be removed beforehand. You can have them reapplied 10 days after your touchup appointment. You may have some swelling for the first few days.
Lipliner/Colour: Please bring lip color if you want a technician to use it for reference. If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), we advise you to contact your doctor to obtain the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks. Alternatively, obtain herpes medication for example Zovirax from your pharmacy. use one week before and one week after your procedure. This can help minimize an outbreak. Permanent cosmetic procedures do not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the body and can be aroused by the procedure. Lip wax or bleaching treatments should not be undertaken for at least a two-week period preceding your permanent cosmetic procedure.

Yes. After all, beauty is pain! However, we do our best to make it as painless as possible by using two different numbing agents. The main ingredient is lidocaine and it is applied topically. 0ne will be put on before we, and you will wait about 20 to 30 minutes. the next one goes on as soon as we begin and works instantly. we can reapply the second numbing as much as necessary. Some people feel nothing!
It’s up to you. there’s no point in putting on a lot of makeup for your appointment just because it can be messy and ink can splatter a little. your eyes might water. but, if you want to put your makeup on so that I can see exactly the way you wear it for reference, then absolutely! if there’s a specific way you put it on that you would like to be integrated into the design then I prefer that you wear it in like that. I will take pictures for reference.
That depends. The technique is the first factor involved. Techniques that involve fine lines that look like hairs such as microblading and nanoblading are always going to need to touch up every 1 to 2 years. shaded technique like the powder fill or the Ombre brows, require a lot less maintenance and you can expect to touch them up every 3 to 5 years. but, there’s also the option of semi-permanent also have the option of permanent pigments versus semi-permanent pigments. semi-permanent will completely fade over time. permanent however is forever. not everybody is a good candidate for that it’s going to depend a lot on the undertone of your skin. the other factors that can be are medications you might be taking such as high blood pressure medication which always causes things to fade more quickly. also, the sun will fade your permanent makeup faster than anything. so sunscreen is always a good idea after they’re healed! if you are putting a lot of topical products on your face that are vitamin A derivatives such as Retin-A or retinol, that can also cause premature fading. these are all things we can discuss when you come in for your appointment or for a free consultation. I will help guide you toward the best comment along this lasting outcome for you specifically.
You need to avoid blood thinners such as ibuprofen aspirin and alcohol for 24 hours beforehand. Also no excessive sun, definitely no sunburns. Some things to consider are you must discontinue Retin-A if you are using it for 30 days beforehand. you cannot be on antibiotics at the time of your appointment. and you cannot be pregnant or nursing either. chemotherapy must be finished 30 days before your appointment as well.
